Birthday Beats & Neon Nights: Why We Hit EDC Las Vegas Every Year
For most people, a birthday means cake and a nice dinner. For us? It means 130,000 of our closest friends, earth-shaking bass, and the electric sky of EDC Las Vegas.
Every year, Angela’s birthday falls right around the festival dates, and there is truly no better way to celebrate than under the neon glow of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It’s become our ultimate annual tradition, but last year, we leveled up the experience in a huge way: we rented an RV and joined Camp EDC.
The Camp EDC Life: Non-Stop Magic
If you think the festival is wild, the campsite is a whole different world. Staying in an RV right on the grounds meant we were never away from the energy.
The highlight? The after-parties at the Mesa. When the main stages shut down at 5:30 AM and the sun starts to peek over the desert, the party at the camp is just getting started. There is something surreal and “OMG-so-fun” about dancing poolside while the rest of the world is just waking up for work. Plus, being able to walk five minutes to your own bed (and a fridge full of cold snacks) is a total game-changer.
More Than Just Music
EDC isn’t just a concert; it’s a massive, glowing playground. Imagine the biggest carnival you’ve ever seen, then multiply the colors by a hundred.
- The Rides: From Ferris wheels that give you a bird’s-eye view of the neon chaos to high-speed swings, it feels like a dreamlike theme park.
- The Community: We met so many incredible new friends last year. There’s a specific kind of bond you form when you’re trading Kandi and dancing all night with strangers who feel like family by sunrise.
- The Vibe: We spent every night dancing until our feet hurt, surrounded by performers, art cars, and the brightest colors imaginable.
Whether we’re exploring deep caves in Turkey or dancing until dawn in the Vegas desert, we’re all about those high-energy memories. EDC is the ultimate birthday gift, and honestly, we’re already counting down the days until we’re back in the RV.
