Barcelona: Falling for the Sagrada Família (and the Sangria!) 🇪🇸✨

If you’re looking for a city that knows how to balance “jaw-dropping history” with “partying until 4 AM,” look no further than Barcelona.

The Ultimate Gothic Glow-Up

We finally made it to the Sagrada Família, and let me just say: the photos do not prepare you for the scale of this place. It is SO. TALL. We spent half the time just craned our necks back, completely in awe of the architecture. It’s the perfect mix of gothic, whimsical, and “how on earth did they build this?” 🏰🙌

Walking inside felt like stepping into a stone forest made of rainbows. If you’re a fan of intricate details and dramatic towers, this is basically your version of Disneyland.

Tapas and Nightlife

Once we finished being cultured at the landmarks, we dove straight into what Spain does best: the nightlife. 💃🕺

The energy in Barcelona after dark is unmatched. Between the tapas, the flowing wine, and the fact that the party doesn’t even start until most people back home are going to bed, we were in heaven. We may have come for the architecture, but we stayed for the dancing!

Pro Tip: Wear comfortable shoes. You’ll need them for the hours of walking around the Gothic Quarter—and for the hours of dancing later that night. 👠🍷

Barcelona, you have our hearts (and our sleep schedule). We’ll be back!

Hi there!

WE’RE IRA
AND ANGELA.

We’re the couple that buys the flight first and asks, “Wait, where is this?” later. We spend our PTO on impulsive boarding passes and “accidental” adventures, proving you don’t need to quit your 9-to-5 to see the world—you just need a little spontaneity (and a lot of coffee).

Our mission? Showing you that bold adventure and budget romance go hand-in-hand. From navigating foreign subways on a whim to finding five-star sunsets for the price of a local beer, we share the real-world tips and hilarious fails we’ve gathered along the way.

Follow along as we help you squeeze every drop of adventure out of your vacation days!
